With average luck you may well find that you do better in Premium Bonds than in more or less any cash ISA, though you still probably won't beat inflation. Savings products these days give f**k all in return honestly. Worth looking at, anyway.

Also the tax advantage of ISAs now doesn't really help most people as there's an allowance for savings interest which many won't hit, before you have to pay any tax on interest savings. Again this may not be you and seeing someone qualified (like JD) is probably your best bet for a fuller flavour.
