it's just curious how quick some fans are to consistently try to stifle any criticism or disappointment after a defeat.

Agree about the reasons for defeat. I actually thought the team-sheet looked reasonable, but with Dowell and Rupp in particular so rusty, we just offered nothing in the centre of the pitch given tendency of the wingers to stay so wide.
