That Man City goal yesterday

If villa are correct then at what point does the Man City play come back into play? Is it after a certain time, or when play stops for say a throw in or free kick? It can’t be after a villa player touches the ball as mings did touch it.

If mings had brilliantly controlled the ball waited 3 seconds and passed towards a team mate and the city player intercepted the pass is he still offside because he came into play from an offside position?

The rules could be worded better?

Had the city player tackled mings and won the ball before mings touched it then he would be offside.

That decision could lead to more goals, so let’s keep EMI “offside” as he tackles very well and has the short sprint speed and ability to score himself let alone set up for someone else!
