I'm very confident he won't be leaving us this window but equally I'm certain this will be the just season we get to enjoy him, just wondering whether other's share this view?

My feeling is, if we go up, he would look back and say he's more than paid us back for the chance we have him to progress his career, helping us to 2 promotions, and that even though we'd be back in the premier league, he's at an age (and with the quality) where he would want to prove himself in European competition and at a bigger club.

I'd guess we've probably already had discussions with him along these lines, that basically we would be much more willing to negotiate (within reason) and not stand in the way of a move come the end of the season, whatever the outcome.
