there are two kinds of racism

a) ignorant people who have never really lived in a society with a variety of ethnic origins
and
b) ignorant people who live in a society with a variety of ethnic origins

The second category may be more prone to violence and intimidation of the ethnic groups they come in contact with, but i think there is something a lot more potentially frightening about the first type as they seem to be far more extreme in their racist opinions.

If i was black i'd probably prefer to live in birmingham than in norwich.
