For me, the alarm bells have been ringing, and especially after Saturday's comments.

However, I believe the board have thought, as per Pants' comment earlier, that there are only 20 days left of the season, which is far too late to sack him and limp to the end, so to ride it out for the three weeks then sort it in the summer.

There is also the speculation that he had a one year extension on Premiership salary, which means it would be cheaper to get rid after a certain date. In which case, as this season was written off a couple of months ago, that would appear to make good business sense.
