I wore odd coloured shoes to work once.

It was a dark morning and I’d just grabbed a blue and a black shoe from the cupboard without noticing. In fact I didn’t spot it at all. It was one of the children sitting cross legged on the carpet who told me.

So possibly he has a couple of similar pairs kept in a cupboard and he just happened to grab the wrong two.
