...worthy was told to sell ashton and francis went early doors, these are the perfect reasons for worthington to use to explain the poor league finish. The board may have said for financial reason we need to sell ashton, hey presto worthy can hold the board to ransom over that.

We all know also how well he gets on with the board, especially delia and michael, therefore it was always going to be hard to remove him!!

Add to this his wage, the coaches wage and the fac tthat the season is nearly finished - it gives the board the impression that "change is not good" financially or football wise - hence they WILL defo giv him til next season.

All we can do now is support the team surely. Protesting is falling on deaf ears, we know this is the case, at the same point if people start not going to games or not renweing their season tickets then i know hundreds that would quite happily take their seats! Perhaps we should chill out til the end of the season, giv him the support over pre-season cos he will still be here i guarantee that!!
