Spotify/Alexa at home... Still buy CDs of favourite bands

I like to give something back and feel invested in the music I have bought. Back in the day I would buy cassettes and devour them - would get to know every album track. Spotify has taken that away as it is too easy to download stuff I'm half interested in and just skip through tracks. I play the CDs in the car (not so much driving now!).
