This is the key point

Care home residents + care home staff = approx 3 million people. Over 80s and front line health. Maybe 6-7 million. Together they account for 2/3 all covid deaths.

We are currently at 2.5 million and getting though 200k+ per day and ramping up.

As I understand things 99% deaths over 40. 1% deaths under 40.

You should be able to see that the protection from vaccinations should rapidly drop the death toll. Get everyone over 65 vaccinated and that is somewhere close to 90% of deaths so far. We have enough AZ vaccine in the country today to achieve that.
