hope springs eternal mate

it's an incredibly complicated task to get the vaccine to the centres and then get the patients there at the right time in the right numbers so as to not waste vaccines as once opened they have a limited time. then to get the right number of medics there to administer the vaccine and all the admin and control needed by volunteers etc when all the time covid can mean key people have to go into self-isolation and leave critical shortages of personnel. i can only see the process improve with time and experience so i would hope that wait times do reduce.
