Anyone with kids at Uni that have gone back yet?

Whole thing is a mess. My son is cooped up here away from Uni and his flat mates while getting more distant from wanting to learn etc. He might as well be cooped up in halls at least with people his own age doing the same course. No definitive 'you can't go back' which no doubt will be the get out clause when no accommodation refunds are given as it was only advice. Young adults have been royaly shafted in all of this and will be lucky enough to pay the bill. Sorry for venting negativity.
Feels like doing the 'right thing' is a waste of time!
