I'm not lying when I say this, from living in Norfolk and going to University in Leicestershire the different make up of community could not be more diverse.
In Norfolk I went to school and sixth form from 6-18, I must have met 3 or 4 black people during the whole period. It's not my fault, its not anyones fault, thats the way it is.
I get to University at Loughborough and meet many many different religious, ethnic people. My better friends at uni are now of a different race to me, but whilst at home in Norwich people seem surprised to see a black, indian or similar minority out and about.
I'm not suggesting its right to be racist or ignorant, I am merely suggesting that people that are brought up in certain environments are not always prepared for change. Hence why going to Uni and gettin about the UK can really develop ones intelligence but also experience different lifestyles. Lets not get on the backs of our regional co-habitants because they may seem politically incorrect, they need to be enlightened not, castigated.
