Have you considered a projector?

I got a cheap and cheerful projector (£350?). Was going to get the projector screen but then realised even a cheapo projector has a colour correct menu option so you can project into an eg magnolia wall and it will correct for this.

Originally 120 inches but dropped this down to 105. That's enough. Picture is bright enough unless bright sun outside (close curtains a bit). Will never go back to a TV.
