and as the ambulance queues lengthen and the daily death toll climbs, their argument will, any minute now, shift from "it isn't a pandemic" to "See? Lockdowns don't work".
But they're too late. We are now reaching the point where too many of us know people who've been ill, or even who've died. And too many of us - even of their readers in the Telegraph and online - remember them saying there wouldn't be a second wave, hospitals aren't really busy, people aren't really dying.
Their credibility is disappearing. Finally. Too late, and they've done a lot of damage, but it is happening now.
