Ideally I'd like both.the thing with a multi gym

Is you have better form.you've got to do free weights to keep your core strength up but you're more inclined to cheat with free weights, it's less easy to isolate the specific muscle you're working on.having said that they're 8inventing new exercises with free weights that are better at doing that.sorry if that's not much help,but get both!
