Yet they're also the ones complaining about people ignoring virus regulations and not giving a s**t about healthcare workers and retirement home staff.

I wonder if the slow pace of vaccination is really down to the fact that the French know their own will rebel anyway.

Nobody I know seems to want to have it but in the same discussion they tell me they want to go on holiday again as soon as possible, and I should think that vaccinations against the virus will probably be compulsory for some destinations soon.
