Unfortunately, I think a lot of the hospital capacity is used up by people that won’t be vaccinated for a long time.
My wife’s grandmother aged 93, caught COVID back in November, asymptomatic to dead in 4 days - people in care homes aren’t being sent to hospital. The NHS isn’t being bogged down entirely by old people, it’s younger people that will survive if they get the treatment they need.
Therefore, unless all 10 vulnerable groups are vaccinated, and actually probably even more widely than that, we won’t be restriction free.
