salted unsalted butter? probably unsalted. or do you not butter at all? condimentally I think the go to accompaniment has to be woosters horse perhaps with a side of tommy k or no Woosters just HP. Alt to this is the english mustards. If the mood takes me i can sometimes reach for the tabascos horse kicker or the fruity tang of the branny pickles. very versatile dish the old cheeseontoasts i bet there's some fancy foreign variants knocking about.
