I think the fans are entitled to resent a player not putting in the effort when the club is in its current position. The 4-2-4 that Worthy is effectively playing does put him under a lot of pressure and possibly demands that he changes his game - he's needed far more defensively than attackingly, has to cover a lot more ground and tackle more, when that's not really his game.

That said, he does spend far too much time simply strolling around the pitch ...
