I'm sure I've seen countless similar situations

Where a player is in an offside position but then cones inside when play passes him and then scores. When I see these situations I'm amazed that the player isn't offside, as surely they have gained an advantage (for example, he may not of been marked by a defender because he was standing offside). That being said, I'm sure I've seen these goals given.
