We had 16 efforts on goal and 65% possession

And I know stats aren’t everything but we basically face away a terrible goal defensively then had an awful half an hour.

Before their goal I thought we were in complete control having weathered that earlier spell where they kept lobbing it in behind. And in the last 15 mins we cut them open several times and had Pukki been sharper or Hugill laid it off to Skipp we would face probably got a draw out of it.

Basically they are like a sh*t version of Palace. Don’t really play great football or have any great cohesion as a side but they have a good defence and quick, athletic players who can hurt you on the break. What’s annoying is we saw that with a few sides in the premier league and the games went similarly so it’s frustrating that we don’t get seem better equipped to cope with it.

That said Zimbo was shocking and Gibson back will hopefully improve us and last night and the Luton game gave shown us we really need a specialist left back in the team now Quintilla is back plus obviously Krul for MM. we have largely got away with it in those positions but over time it will start to cost us.
