In view of the more lucrative side of our model I wouldn't underestimate the reputational value of looking after players onwards moves if they don't quite make the cut.

There's been a couple of younger players who have praised the way the club have helped place them after they were released and not just left them for dead.

If we're (increasingly) going to be needing to frisk the lower leagues for young talent to bring through and develop then having older players who didn't quite make the cut still talking well of us could help us get the kind of potential we'll need.
