have we really moved, in a few days, from

"The Christmas easing is the right thing to do"

to

"A national lockdown is inevitable by Feb because of the Christmas easing"

Couldn't we just not do the Christmas easing? I mean, Xmas isn't that important, even though we seem to talk as if it is.
