The vaccine is French, the adjuvant is UK

An adjuvant is like a power booster for vaccines - makes them more potent. Even with the GSK adjuvant, the Sanofi vaccine didn't induce enough of a response.

The GSK adjuvant is pretty much best-in-the-world. The combination of vaccine & adjuvant just wasn't strong enough in this case.
