Is interesting because it is properly tied to the protests in the US. Not here. At all.
Our policing structure is wildly different from the US and much of mainland Europe.
Chatting to my German, Italian and Polish friends who live in Cardiff its absolutely apparent that the philosophy of policing by consent that we use here is poles apart from what they grew up with. (Eg. Not armed, having their photos taken with revellers on St Mary's St at the weekend, generally being seen as a helpful presence and not an extension of the army)
There is no serious strand of BLM in the UK arguing that we defund the police (although clearly the police need to be alive to biases and race issues, same as the rest of us).
