but the point is that they haven't helped or lifted the team in the slightest, which is surely what you'd want them to do given what you say about the apprently inevitable attitude of the players who were relegated.
And what have the "on Loan" T-shirts got to do with anything? haven't seen any of those this year.
Expectations are not caused by some belief in a divine right to be in the Prem (as you keep suggesting), they come from the club's healthy financial position which teh club themselves was always telling us about. It is not unreasonable that the more resources you have available the higher your expectations should be. that is true of everything in life.
