about how slowly those 2000 tickets sales have been going

I think this tells you something really useful about the bigger questions about the virus, the laws, and those raging MPs shouting that the restrictions are all too tight.

Basically it tells you that the laws and restrictions are neither here nor there. People don't want to take the risk when the virus is still around, whatever the laws or rules are. So if you want to get the economy going (whether that's people in pubs and restaurants, or people going to football matches in large numbers), you need to get the virus much more under control first.

It's not the laws and restrictions that are killing the economy and putting everyone out of work. It's the virus being out there, and people's fear of it.

Is actually a really useful test case.
