I unapologetically love it

family together, feasting, indulgence, lots of booze, house bedecked with greenery, midnight mass, a bit of Charlie D on the telly - generally, licence to leave aside worldly cares for a few days at the most gloomsome time of the year.
Though I can also see that if that sort of thing is not your experience of Christmas, it must be a particularly dreadful time.
