Some of it is cack handed and fits the middle England moral panic of the time (our kids being drawn to the dark side by dodgy dealers and taking drugs... won’t someone think of the children?! Etc), but actually some of the dialogue isn’t too bad. There’s a bit where Morse quite accurately analyses what dance music of the time was (sample-heavy creations using bits of other records). Captures a moment in time and the bits depicting races capture the experience surprisingly well (helped by the fact that most of the extras playing racers look like they’ve been on the pills)
Silly in places and hilariously dated, but does capture a moment in time (culture reflecting society etc).
