"Looking ahead to the summer Football League top brass gathering, Plymouth Argyle chief executive Michael Dunford revealed to a West Country paper last week: "One topic on the agenda for the chairmen's conference in Portugal in the first week of June will be the change proposed by Crystal Palace to the composition of the play-offs.
"If it's carried, and there does seem to be a reasonable level of support for it, from the end of the 2006-07 season the play-offs will go down to eighth place rather than sixth"
