I used to work in a bad job for a small company. The company was owned by the parents of a famous rock guitarist. I answered the phone and a bloke wanted to speak to the owners but they were out. This was in the about 1990 before mobile phones were popular. He said his name was David. I said David who? He replied Coverdale. I kept asking his name "Cover what?" etc because his surname seemed unclear and I was writing it down. He seemed annoyed that I was confused over his name. Afterwards, I realised I had been speaking to David Coverdale and had not given any thought that it was the rock star. The owners of the business were not happy with me and told me to never answer the phones again.
