Decent in the City:

The Novotel on Arundel Gate
The Hilton on Victoria Quays

Decent on the North side of the City:
The Staindrop Lodge (my personal favorite: excellent food and the place is very tastefully Art Deco)
Tankersley Manor (which is where I am getting married next year)
They're both a little way out though.
Apart from that there are any number of Travelodges Travel Inns and Holiday Inns. All the chains. I hear the Ibis in the City is good and also quite reasonable.
