Prevent, or adjust for? Brains respond instinctively, I get that. My point is

if we know this happens, correct for it. If we assume women are s**t and can't do certain things, then it will never get corrected. If some people still think this way, then educate them/yourself and realise it isn't backed up by facts.

That's how you deal with bias, you don't pretend it's impossible to do anything about
