I always get the sense with rupp and mcclean that their role is to mop up and play the simple pass - cycling and recycling the ball. Unglamorous, but necessary work.

I'm a huge fan of Vrancic and Stiepermann (and Dowell looks great too) - but we do run the risk of having a midfield of mostly attack minded players or playmakers.

Skipp/Dowell (and maybe Sorenson) look like they've got a bit of balance on both sides - which is what we'll need to challenge and to survive if we do go up.
