a £12m loss from a third (?) of a season lost, we'll lose more of this season

we may have a full season lost this time.

And we possibly may have deferred losses to cover. I know first hand that in other sports, sponsors took some significant hits last season, wanting to keep the relationship going for this one (and deals were done to compensate them with more rights for this season). But if it's another blank season for attendances, many are going to have a very different view on whether they want their money back or not.

If I was the NCFC FD, I'd be working on the assumption that we will need to cover an even bigger covid loss than last season, and not sanctioning big money spending. It's simply not worth taking the risk with our financial model.
