The NI per capita defecit is a whopping £5K p.a.

Scotland is approx £2.5k. Neither are even close to the levels acceptable for membership of the EU.

Both Scotland and NI would need to massively raise taxes and implement a crushing austerity program.

Basically like Greece but colder.
