With the way our club is being run (which I fully endorse) the nature is that some players will move on. I wish them well.
BUT I feel like we're clear with them (from interviews Webber has done) that they're here to be pros, we want to develop them and have a plan to do so and if they do well 1) Norwich do well and 2) if that gets noticed then we wouldn't stand in the way of them moving on if there's a fair offer for the their services.
That's it.
So beyond that, not grafting in training, agents touting you round I think is pretty poor stuff.
If you're really so good the offer will come in as it did for Jamal from Newcastle.
If you're not there yet the offer won't come in. You play on, you show you're better, Norwich succeeds, the proper offer then comes in.
I do think that we are a little ahead in our "Process". Webber was still implementing and lining things up, we didn't expect to romp the league two years ago, I doubt we expected 5 youngsters (4 developed in house) to be talked of so highly. So the summer was stocking the cupboard behind those front line players.
I'm excited to see Sorensen, Martin, Idah, to get serious minutes in the first team.
Next year it will be Soto, Adshead, McCallum, Mumba and Famewo.
That only works if some people do move on every couple of years.
