No way. During the Walker era similar size. 100 years ago maybe. Fundamentally though

they do not have our support base which is what defines the size of a club in my book.

They are part of the Lancashire Tinpot trinity along with Bolton and Preston. None of that lot would get 20,000 plus in League 1.
