But I'm not talking about being disrespectful, or screaming and shouting while others take the knee. Anyone who did that would deserve a backlash.

In the age of taking the knee, I fear simply standing silently and respectfully would still get a backlash.

You show solidarity with your teammates, friends, associates by being nice to them and treating them as you would expect to be treated yourself.
