Press news in...

Tune in from 1.15pm for updates from Daniel Farke's pre-Preston North End press conference.

----------------------------------------------------------------

*On supporters returning: It's great news. The first step, I was hoping for a few more. But it will be great to have yellow shirts back in our stadium.*

DF: Hopefully we can give them something to cheer. It's a supporter's game and this will never change. For that, it's important to have them back.

DF: Hopefully we can start to increase the number but we have to see how it develops. Let's concentrate on this first step and doing it properly. If everything goes well, we can then look at increasing the numbers.

DF on the previous week: It's been good. The week before was hard with lots of players away. It's been good to have a proper week on the training week. There's been a good mood in the group after last weekend.

DF: Overall, I was quite happy with the win. Huddersifled played with lots of intensity and we bypassed that. We were solid and got the clean sheet and it was a deserved win. There are still many, many things we can improve. We can create more chances and be more fluid. The target is to have more possession, too.

DF on injuries: First of all, it's good that we don't have too many long-term injuries. Sam Byram won't be involved for the rest of 2020. Grant Hanley has been integrated in group training this week. He will hopefully join the full programme next week. For tomorrow, we have to play without Marco Stiepermann, he has back problems. Josh Martin and Emi Buendia are back available for tomorrow.

DF: Emi is a topic for the matchday squad. He is one of the outstanding offensive players in this league. He has proved this.

DF: If he is fully fit, he will improve us. But we have to be realistic, he missed our last friendly and a few games at the end of last season with the red card. He's more a topic for the squad, maybe not the starting line-up.

DF: He got a knock in training today so hopefully it's not too bad.

DF: I was the whole time optimistic about Emi staying. He's humble and disciplined, apologised in front of the group after the red card.

DF: He was in great condition when he returned back after the summer break. I know he's happy to be here.

DF: There were a few topics that Oliver could improve - I don't want to praise the young lads too much. We were unbelievably careful before bringing him in. We learned a lot about him on and off the pitch. He's a humble guy and wants to develop and work hard each and every day. It's no surprise that Jose Mourinho said he will be a Tottenham captain one day.

DF: We want him to improve his tactical behaviour. There were some topics we spoke about after the game but without any doubt, he has the quality and potential to improve us.

DF: I'm full of respect for what he's done. His CV is top class. At Preston, you can see his handwriting. He has improved the team and club year on year.

DF: To make out this club a solid on at Championship level, they haven't been far away from the play-offs in recent years. All our league games with them have been close. Preston is one of the teams who fights for the top six finish. They are growing as a club.

DF: They have many, many options so I'm full of praise for them.

DF: Sam was really important for us and it's no coincidence that we weren't successful in the lockdown when he was injured. I could always trust Jamal [Lewis] but there was a lot of load on him - we could have done with Sam being fit.

DF: Jacob Sorensen is definitely available this weekend. He's been unlucky over the last few weeks, he didn't play one minute for Denmark. We wanted to give him a proper week with us but he got a cold at the start of the week and missed three days. So he needs a bit more time to train with us.

DF: The reset button was hit last week. Once you have the run of losses, it's out of your head with you win. The feeling around the group is always positive at the moment. We feel confident after Huddersfield.

DF: I hope all the supporters stay disciplined and the other ones who can't be at Carrow Road to stay positive and keep believing in the lads.

DF: Without fans, you feel you have to be a bit more motivational in the team talk. And with only 1,000 fans, it's going to be hard to make the atmosphere a lot different so we have to do the same.
