that seems a bit strange

I wonder if we signed Gibson on the assumption that Godfrey would be leaving sooner rather than later, and maybe some interest in him never really materialised. Surely Gibson won't be too happy becoming a Championship reserve.

Or perhaps playing three at the back sometimes will let them both start.
