This cheered me up this morning

The gap between reality, both on and off the field, and the hype generated by Sheepshanks, Royle and assorted players just gets wider and wider.
Off the field we have had the Anderson saga, the rescheduling of the debt (like paying off the minimum each month on your credit card and thinking you dont have financial problems), the inability to find a sponsor for Northstand or to attract a second shirt sponsor. Having you academy teams shirt sponsor, a relative of a director no less, go bust part yway through the season the list grows and grows.

On the field we are heading for the lowest number of clean sheets ever in a season where we dont get relegated. We have a negative home goal difference and our top scorer has scored just five goals. Today we were simply awful Royle is so stubborn he insists on doing things his way. Today the second half start had to be delayed while he hobbled across the pitch to the dugout. We wouldn't have had too many complaints if we had lost 3, 4 or even 5 nil.

But still, in a shameful attempt to see as many season tickets renewed as possible, we keep hearing how great it is going to be next season. This club is not going to recover while Sheepshanks remains as chairman and Royle is Manager

Seems to me that whatever the hype, the scum are still f**ked financially and these kids obviously aren't as good as the Ambrose/Bent/Dyer school.
