This is the thing.

This debate has gone from you calling me thick and stating there was massive delays, that we were only a couple weeks behind Italy, to you now presenting some facts.

These facts are a quote which said that Patrick Vallance say sage recommended changes on the 18th March.

Om 10th March the often quoted Chelternham Festival happened... so before that advice

On the 16th March the government advised everybody who can WFH and that non essential travel is stopped. At that time various business - cinema chains, theatres etc stopped. We are basically in at least partial lockdown at this point.

On the 18th March Patrick vallance says some level of recommendation happened

On 23rd March, full lockdown.

Without knowing more facts, it could point to ~5 day "delay" by the government to go from a partial lockdown to full lock down. But thats hardly massive delays and considering people like me were WFH it doesn't fit the rhetoric that the government weren't doing anything for weeks.

What we do agree upon is that the "scientists haven't been great" as you put it!
