NVQs............

Just before Xmas I informed my gaffer of my intention to leave the company in the early months of this year, explaining that tho' I like the job and the people I work with, I'm getting nothing back (apart from the wages, of course - I mean, nothing that'll look good on my CV).

As it turned out the remortgage that I'd thought was due to complete at any moment is still dragging on, so I haven't yet made a move away from the firm.

Then, last week, two things happened on the same day: 1) I got my completion date through (april 3rd, so it's quite close) and 2) he offered me free NVQ courses in a choice of three areas. OK so one of those is Customer Services and obviously I'm a lost cause there, but the other two are Improvement in Business and I.T.

I'd imagine that quals in those areas might be quite useful, (tho Imp in Busn sounds a bit gashy and I hate computers in general). But I dunno..... I was offered NVQ courses donkeys years ago and turned them down 'cos they looked a bit crap.

What do you lot think? As it stands I'm tempted to take them, for a number of reasons which I don't need to bore you with.
