May not be the most pressing question. But why did we buy Earnshaw?

Worthy obviously craves a target man, given the way we play. And once Ashton went, we plainly didn't have one. Whereas we had 3 or 4 strikers to play off one.

So why on earth did we double our record transfer fee on Earnshaw?
