Regardless of the way you voted.
Why were you so quick to jump on and dismiss the story?
Regardless of whether it is true or not a great number of my European friends (living across the whole country) have been on the end of snippets like this since the referendum.
Mostly its just little things like
"I'd have thought you'd have gone home by now"
"why are you still around?"
"not to worry, in a short while we won't have to worry what you think."
"won't be long until they ship you back."
Little snippets, from strangers in pubs and shops. Utterly deniable if challenged.
Sickening.
If this stuff offends you as much as you are claiming today, why deny that there are a (small but significant) number of people who hold these views? Why did you jump to dismiss it (again, regardless of how you voted)?
What will you do next time?
