Press news in....

Daniel Farke addresses the media ahead of Newcastle United v Norwich City. Updates to come from 1.15pm.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

DF: Some good news. Buendia is back in team training. Cantwell is available as well. Amadou is too.

DF: We will make late decisions on the team. I won't play all three of them as it will be an intense game.

DF: The most important topic for me is to focus on the short-term success with the first team, so we brought Rupp and Duda in. The other topic is the long-term. We're always searching for good, young options we can develop and Sam McCallum has done a really good job at Coventry so far. Great potential, full of character, and home grown.

DF: It's too far away to predict how good he can be in the future but it's a good signing for us.

DF: Nothing will happen for the rest of deadline day. You never know if a crazy offer will come in, but no-one has knocked on mine or Stuart's doors.

DF: To sign someone who knows the league you have to spend a lot of money, so we have to be a bit creative. I'm pleased with this window. We allowed fringe players to leave and brought in two proper first-team players. Ondrej and Lukas have proven they can help us immediately.

DF: For the future, we've brought players with lots of potential. There was a lot of interest around Sam and Melvin, so it's good they were willing to sign for us.

DF: Steve Bruce is an experienced coach and they will be just focused on the game, not on what else is going on at Newcastle. We have a good chance to win some points and that's all we think about.

DF: We appreciate Danny Murphy's comment about us being the best team at the bottom of the league, but we're not dancing on the table about it. We still want to work on our little miracle and hopefully at the end of the season we don't have to speak about being at the bottom of the league anymore.

DF: We're working with one of the smallest squads in the league so I don't expect anything to happen before 11pm. We listen to every offer, but I don't expect any. Adam Idah is important for us and will stay.

DF: My focus is totally on short term success. We're working on a few things in the background for the summer as we have to be prepared for some different scenarios.

DF: Timm Klose is good in his rehab and not too far away from team training. There are some good signs he can return before the season ends.

DF: It's not easy for Steve Bruce when there are many rumours in the background, but he's good in man management and I'm full of respect for his work. His sides are well structured and difficult to break down.

DF: We were able to beat them at Carrow Road earlier in the season but now they are more settled and structured.

DF: To control counter-attacks and pace will be important. We have to be prepared for different scenarios and to be good in our possession.

DF: We don't go into any game to avoid a loss, but to win. It's important we have a top class performance to be able to win, as we did in two of the last three games.

DF: Newcastle are experienced, clinical and effective with their chances, as they were against Chelsea. You don't win prizes for beautiful football but to bring the ball into the goal.

DF: To win at Burnley in the manner we won it was a big boost for several players who weren't in the spotlight in previous weeks, for example Josip Drmic or Ralf Fahrmann.

DF: There's more competition on the training pitch and that's healthy for our group of players.

DF: It's good for Josip to know he can start and deliver a goal. He had a few other easy chances and delivered with his workload.

DF: He's completely different to Teemu so I don't see them in a competition with each other. Teemu, Josip and Adam are in a good way. We need a few more goals from midfield.
