Did you watch "Winter on Fire" by any chance?

kind of linked into the Auschwitz post earlier as my son was in Poland last year and visited Auschwitz and when he got back home I asked him what he thought and he said that the most moving thing for him above all else was him standing in front of the gates in all his army cold weather kit thinking of what the children must have been going through when they arrived i could tell it had made a deep impression on him. Anyway, Winter of Fire is a stark recent reminder of how brutal human beings can be to each other in the name of the state even against their own.
