I'd say it prob depends where and how much you are going to use it.

We got a diesel year before last cos it was a bargain - dealers having to discount to get rid.
However, we hardly ever use it in towns and it can sit on the drive for three days without being used. Also drive fairly slowly and use it mainly for longer trips on motorways and main roadsd
